Bible Sunday 7/21: Intrepid Caleb

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 103:1-22. Verse 20, what do I learn from this about God’s angels? What special need for angels do I have today?

Numbers 14:1-45. Verses 6-10, whom have I seen bravely serve God by going against the grain of popularity as Joshua and Caleb did? Present application?

Acts 12:20-13:3. Verse 2, when have I seen an “indispensable” pastor or leader abruptly reassigned by God for other duty? What did I learn?

Mark 8:22-30. Verses 27-29, if a non-believer asked me what’s the big deal about Jesus, how would I answer in everyday conversational terms? Who may be ready right now for such a conversation with me?
