Bible Saturday 8/31: Am I Sure?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 116:1-19. Verse 12, so little have I to give God, compared with all he has given me. Today what are some things I can DO, not just think or say, to show him my gratitude?

Joshua 19:1-51. Casting lots for tribal territories. When have I seen apparent randomness or chance work out as part of God’s plan after all? Application for today?

Acts 24:10-21. Verses 14-16 KJV, Paul avows his religion upholds tradition, though called heretical. When have I struggled with conscience to know what God really wants of me, family and friends aside?

Luke 1:1-4. Related question, in what way do I hesitate over what the Bible teaches and what the church requires? Noting that here in (1) the believers are sure, in (2) the witnesses are sure, in (3) the author is sure, and in (4) the reader is invited to be sure.
