Bible Sunday 8/25: Paul's Story

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 113:1-9. Verse 6 KJV, how has God humbled himself toward me? How can I humble myself toward him today in return?

Joshua 13:1-33. Thinking about the landmarks of my life, the places that have been dear to me, how was God’s care evident when I inhabited them?

Acts 21:37-22:21. Verses 12-16, who may right now need me to play the role of Ananias, bringing them God’s grace at a time of great need?

Mark 15:1-15. In our world today, how do we see a repeat of the utter moral inversion that would kill Jesus while sparing Barabbas? What is my church doing about it? My role?
