Bible Wednesday 8/28: A Soldier's Confession

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:1-24. Verse 9 KJV, what’s the main attack of sin and Satan against young people today, especially young men? What is my church doing about it? My role?

Joshua 16:1-10. Contrary to the current political claim that “borders are immoral,” the God of Israel attached great importance to them. What does this say about God’s character and the human condition?

Acts 23:11-22. Verse 11, when have I felt Jesus strengthening me at a dark and discouraging time? Present application?

Mark 15:33-41. Verse 34, Jesus prays Psalm 22 with his dying breath. What Psalms are my mainstays in time of need? Verses 40 and 41, why were there more women than men at the foot of the cross?
