Bible Friday 9/20: Heart Scan

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 69:1-36. Verses 4-9, what awful injustice am I now seeing befall God’s faithful, God’s zealous ones? How shall I pray for justice to be done there?

Judges 15:1-20. Samson scourges God’s enemies. Verse 14, in what specific way do I need the Holy Spirit today?

II Corinthians 1:1-11. Who needs me to bring them a measure of God’s comfort today? What am I waiting for?

Luke 6:43-45. How pleased is Jesus with the fruit my life is producing? What does he want me to recognize about my own heart? What does he want me to do about it?
