Bible Sunday 2/2: Simeon and Anna

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 84:1-12. Verse 10, how can I spend a little more time than usual with God today? How can I be a little more lowly and humble than usual in serving him and others today?

Deuteronomy 33:1-29. Verse 27, how do I particularly need to experience God’s arm upholding me today?

Haggai 2:1-9. Verses 6 and 7, if God’s fearsome shaking of all creation should come today, what’s involved for me to be ready?

Luke 2:22-40. By what attitudes and actions can I be more like Simeon and Anna today, exalting the Lord Jesus for all to see?
