Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 23:1-6. Verse 4, what valley of shadow now confronts me or someone I know? What form do I pray God’s care and comfort will take?
Deuteronomy 9:1-29. Verses 6 and 13, how stiff-necked and stubborn were the Israelites under Moses. When have I been that way to God? What did I learn?
Titus 3:1-15. Verses 3-5, what are some bad qualities Jesus has helped me outgrow? What are some areas where he’s not done with me yet?
John 1:43-51. Verses 47-49, related question, has it ever seemed Jesus was watching me and making ready for me in unsuspected ways? Present application?
