Wednesday 12/9: To the Cross

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 99:1-9. Verse 6, what lessons applicable to this day can I draw from Moses and Aaron, regarding what God offers me and what he asks of me?

Isaiah 44:1-28. Verse 20 KJV, feeding on ashes. What must I beware of taking into my mind and heart today that is spiritually unnourishing or even spiritually poisonous?

Revelation 13:11-18. What action must I take, what decision, that I may go about this day and each day with the mark of Christ, not the mark of the beast?

Luke 22:35-38. What does it mean in everyday terms for me to be a soldier of the Cross? With what weapon does Jesus want me armed?
