Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 105:1-45. Verse 15 KJV, to what attacker against me, material or spiritual, would I have God command today, “Touch not my anointed”?
Jeremiah 8:1-22. Verse 11, what are the voices of false peace in our times, brushing off evil as nothing to worry about? What is my church’s response? My role?
Romans 3:21-31. The depth of our sin and the height of God’s grace. Who needs to hear this from me today or one day soon? How shall I present it in simple terms, winsomely?
Matthew 11:20-24. Repentance, judgment, hell. Is Jesus talking to me here, or mainly to other people? How can this teaching ever be made winsome?
