Bible Friday 3/27: Not My Own

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 68:1-35. Verse 11 KJV, what opportunity is this pandemic providing to publish God’s word and proclaim the gospel? What is my church doing about it? My role?

Nahum 1:1-15. Verse 15 KJV, related, what vows and feasts must we as believers keep right now, so that good tidings of Christ can reach a worried world?

I Corinthians 6:12-20. Verses 19 and 20, not my own, bought with a price. What protection from disease or distress is Jesus offering me here? What’s my obligation in return?

John 8:42-59. Verse 44, how does the virus emergency boil down to a contest between lies from Satan and truth from God? In praying and going about my activities today, where am I lining up?
