Bible Thursday 4/2: If I Preach Not

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 78:1-40. Verses 3-7, with young people being unplugged right now from school as usual and church as usual, what do we want them to learn during this emergency about God and his world? My role?

Jonah 4:1-11. Jonah, so slow to learn. When have I been upset with God? What did he teach me then? Application for today?

I Corinthians 9:1-18. Verse 16, Paul’s compulsion to preach the gospel. What new doors for evangelism is the virus opening for me? How can this whole thing be a Kingdom opportunity if Christians step up?

Matthew 23:1-22. Verses 8-12, by what attitudes and actions can I be more humbly submitted to Jesus today than I was yesterday? First step?
