Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 146:1-10. Verse 3, am I, or is my church, putting too much trust in government and politics during this pandemic, and not enough trust in God?
Ezekiel 21:1-32. Verse 27, might God be using this crisis to accomplish a great overturning in our country’s way of life? What needs to fall and what needs to rise? My church’s role? My role?
I Corinthians 15:35-49. Verse 49, related question, what overturning might God intend to do within me during the plague time, such that I would present a more heavenly image of him? Specifics?
John 6:1-14. Related again, with the virus causing great economic hardship, millions of people in want, how can a Savior who fed the multitudes make a difference now? Prayer point?
