Bible Thursday 5/14: To the Rescue

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 35:1-28. Verse 10, how is this pandemic hardest of all on the poor? Why does God care? What is my church doing about it? My role?

Ezekiel 34:1-31. God declares a crisis and demands big changes. After Covid, how can church leaders be better shepherds to the flock? How can all of us in the churches shepherd the lost? Action point today?

I Corinthians 14:14-25. Verses 23-25, making ourselves understood to the unbeliever. While studying in the next few minutes, how can I practice talking about God without using God-talk?

John 8:21-30. Verse 29, doing the things that please God. Going through today, what are some things this tells me to do and some things it tells me not to do?
