Bible Tuesday 6/16: Mornings with Jesus

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 113:1-9. Verses 5 and 6 KJV, what evidence have I that God humbles himself to take notice of a tiny speck in the universe such as me? How can that make a difference for me today?

I Samuel 15:1-35. Verses 22-24, what is the worst act of disobedience to God that I ever committed? What did I learn? Present application?

Acts 5:33-42. Gamaliel was Paul’s teacher, as we learn in Acts 22:3. What qualities in him, as seen here, helped equip Paul to be mighty for the truth in God’s own time? How can I apply those to present challenges?

Mark 1:35-45. Verse 35, why would Jesus, as God incarnate, need to pray or want to pray? Why would I, a sinner in need of a Savior, try to get by with any less quantity or quality of prayer than he did?
