Bible Sunday 9/27: Jesus asks each of us

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 71:1-24. Verse 16, specifically how can today be different, if I go in the strength of the Lord moment to moment?

Job 34:1-37. Verse 29 KJV, the quietness that is of God stills the troublemaking that humans attempt. Application for this week in my life and our country’s life?

II Corinthians 9:1-15. Verse 7, in God’s sight at present, where do I need to become more cheerful in giving?

Luke 9:18-20. If Jesus had been only as great a prophet as John the Baptist or Elijah, how would my situation be different right now? What’s the action point?
