Bible Tuesday 9/29: Simplicity

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 75:1-10. Verses 6 and 7, what’s my commitment to praying for our nation, its people, and its institutions of government every day during this election season?

Job 36:1-33. Verse 5 KJV, God despises no one. Whom do I tend to despise, as individuals or as groups? What may be the consequences from God?

II Corinthians 11:1-15. Verse 3, how does the sin that was Eve’s undoing, whisper to me today? Verse 14, in what falsely angelic disguise does Satan allure me and all God’s people at present?

Luke 9:37-42. What urgent prayer shall I bring to Jesus this morning for help to my child or some other loved one?
