Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 100:1-5. Verse 2, on an average day, in what specific ways do I serve God? What else can I do to serve him on this day?
Ezra 6:1-22. How does the treatment of God’s people by government in this country right now compare with the protection accorded them by King Darius? What is my church doing about it?
Galatians 1:1-10. How does “another gospel,” not denying Christ but falsifying him, attempt to seduce the church in these times? What is my church doing about it?
Luke 11:14-23. Verse 23, related question, am I okay with the narrow exclusiveness Jesus claims for himself? If I accept it, what’s the cost to me? What’s the reward?
