Bible Monday 10/12: The Visitor

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 106:1-48. Verse 4 KJV, if I ask God to visit me today and he does, what would that answered prayer look like, what form would it take?

Ezra 9:1-15, apart from marriages where only one spouse is a Christian, in what other ways do God’s people these days split the difference with our worldly-minded neighbors? How am I susceptible to this?

Galatians 2:11-21. Verse 20, if I truly live all day today as one who has been crucified with Christ, what changes in attitude and actions would that require of me?

Luke 11:37-44. Looking unsparingly at myself, what do I see that is like Jesus’ shaming of the Pharisees as spiritually unclean, spiritually dishonest, spiritually phony? Action point?
