Bible Tuesday 12/21: His Return

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 118:1-29. Verse 6 KJV, the Lord is on my side. How can I gain the benefit of this and yet keep my faith humble, obedient, and unselfish? Isn’t it more important to be sure I’m on his side?

Micah 1:1-16. Verse 7, Israel committing spiritual prostitution. How does this debauchery overtake present-day churches, or an individual believer like me?

I Thessalonians 3:1-13. Verse 12, what would it look like for my church to become known as a place more on fire with God-given love for each other than anywhere else for 100 miles around? My role?

Matthew 24:29-35. If Jesus returns today, what do I want him to find me doing?
