Bible Thursday 12/9: Dress Code

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 100:1-5. Verse 3, are there ways in which I falsely posture as a self-made individual? What is some of the evidence that God has been the making of me at every turn?

Daniel 1:1-21. What are some ingredients of the “diet” of beliefs and ideas, displeasing to God, that the world will try to feed me today? What heavenly nourishment for heart and mind shall I feed on instead?

Revelation 16:8-16. Verse 15, related question, in what “clothing” does Jesus want me to constantly dress my soul as events stealthily build toward his return?

Matthew 22:34-40. Jesus calls out the two great commandments. What is something specific and out of the ordinary that I can do in the next 24 hours in obedience to each of these?
