Bible Sunday 2/21: The Best News

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 118:1-29. Verse 22, today in doing what I must, how will my actions differ according to whether Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of my life, or merely one of its building blocks, or even just a decoration on it?

Proverbs 2:1-22. How does wisdom differ from knowledge, information, or opinion? How do I go about obtaining wisdom from God? What wisdom does he give me specifically about human relationships?

Romans 5:1-11. Verse 8, what secret sin of mine did Christ die to wash clean? What unlovely sin of someone I know, did Christ die for? How can I thank him for this today?

Matthew 4:1-11. If Satan tries to allure or attack me today, what scripture will I have ready to repulse him with?
