Bible Sunday 2/28: We the People

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 144:1-15. Verse 15, happy is that people whose God is the Lord. What relevance has this for today’s increasingly secularized USA? My church’s role?

Proverbs 9:1-18. Verse 1 KJV, what are the pillars on which my family and my way of life rest? How strong and stable are they?

Romans 8:12-17. In addressing God by the intimate name of “Abba,” what do I expect of him? What does he expect of me?

Matthew 12:9-21. Verse 12, how much is a man better than a sheep? With abortion and euthanasia ever expanding, has our culture forgotten the answer? What am I doing about it?
