Bible Sunday 5/16: Perfect Placement

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 37:1-40. Verse 4 KJV, what are some worthy desires of my heart that I pray God would grant me today? What unworthy desires are lodged there, that I pray God would remove and replace?

Exodus 35:1-35. Treasure and talent offered for the realization of God’s tabernacle? What’s a good example that I know about, of generosity for the kingdom? What more is God leading me to do in this line?

Acts 1:15-26. The apostles choose Matthias to replace Judas. Who is in particular need right now of God’s help as the ultimate “employment agency, search firm, and placement service”?

John 14:12-24. Verses 13 and 14, when I pray “in Jesus’ name,” am I doing so more with deep reverence and meaning, or more by rote?
