Bible Sunday 5/23: Healing Our Past

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 48:1-14. How shall I go about spiritually situating myself today in Zion, God’s holy city? What results can I expect from doing so?

Joel 2:1-32. Verse 25, God restores the lost years. What’s the application of this for me today, in clearing up regrets and sorrows of the past?

Acts 2:1-21. Language gap miraculously bridged on Pentecost. What gulfs of misunderstanding and antagonism, within the church and in the wider world, shall I pray for the Holy Spirit to bridge today?

John 9:1-12. Verses 2 and 3, could it be that the reason I’m not getting the answer I hoped for from Jesus is that I’ve been asking him the wrong question?
