Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 64:1-10. Verse 2 KJV, insurrection of God’s enemies. Why is this more dangerous than anything political or military? What’s their goal? What spiritual weapons do they use? What’s required of me?
Numbers 33:1-56. Map of the desert wanderings of the children of Israel. Looking back, what are the main landmarks of my life in Christ: places, people, events? Why does God want us to keep such a map?
Acts 21:1-14. Verse 13, Paul’s readiness to die for Jesus. What would I be willing to die for? How faithfully do I reflect that priority in my daily life?
Mark 11:20-26. What’s the hardest thing for me to forgive? For what do I most need God’s forgiveness today?
