Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 79:1-13. Verse 13, if I stand in relation to God as a sheep to its shepherd, what laudable qualities and what undesirable qualities does that mean I express? How can I act today with more of the former and less of the latter?
Hosea 4:1-19. Verse 6 KJV, how can people’s lack of knowledge be a problem in this digital age? Where can I acquire, and help others acquire, the knowledge that God wants his children to have??
Acts 23:23-35. Political Rome twice prevents religious Jerusalem from murdering Paul. Should we as Paul’s spiritual heirs take an anti-government stance? What stance then?
Mark 12:41-44. If this poor widow could give God her all, what’s the action point for me?
