Bible Tuesday 7/13: Who's Greatest?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 35:1-28. Verses 11-15, when have I returned kindness to someone that was unkind to me? Why is this important to God? Present application?

Numbers 23:1-30. Verses 19-24, what curse, malice, or evil intent does Satan direct against God’s people in today’s world, that I can refute with these words of blessing, protection, and victory?

Acts 17:1-15. Verses 6 and 7, in what way is my church being forced to a choice of who is king, Caesar or Jesus? What are we doing about it? My role?

Mark 9:30-41. Verses 31-35, taking personal inventory right now, how do I find self-importance and self-aggrandizement distracting me from the message of the Cross, its duty and its promise?
