Bible Monday 8/30: Undaunted

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 147:1-20. Verses 10 and 11, do I measure my self-worth more by the world’s standard or more by God’s standard? Action point for today?

Joshua 21:1-45. Verses 43-45, God never once failed Israel. Has he ever once failed me? In that case, what have I to fear or worry about?

II Corinthians 1:1-14. Verses 3-7 KJV, comfort and consolation abounding to us from God the Father and Jesus the Son. To whom can I pass that along today?

Luke 6:1-11. Verse 9, God’s law commands us to do good and to save life 24/7. What revision of my priorities for this day is called for?
