Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 83:1-18. Who are some enemies of God and God’s people that I need him to help me resist, defeat, and if possible convert (verse 16)?
Deuteronomy 34:1-12. Moses. about to die, views the Promised Land from afar. What qualities of Moses shall I ask God to bring out in me more fully this year?
Hebrews 13:16-25. Verses 20 and 21, remembering that I am but a sheep under the risen Jesus who is my shepherd, how will I approach this day differently?
Matthew 10:16-26. Verse 16, sheep again. What wolves must I watch out for? How exactly does Jesus want me to be serpent-like and dove-like?
