Bible Tuesday 1/25: Eye of the Storm

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 68:1-35. Verse 11 KJV, in realistic terms for 2022, what is the company of those who publish God’s word, and how can I be more active in it this year?

Deuteronomy 25:1-19. Verses 13-15, forbidding a double standard. How might this sin ensnare me today? Why does it matter to God?

Hebrews 11:8-16. If God wants me to approach life more as a pilgrim than as a settler, what will that look like in my daily walk? How will I know when nearing the city promised in verses 10 and 16?

Matthew 8:23-27. Related question, what kind of weather can I expect if daring to voyage with Jesus? How can he help me brave the storm with less fear and more faith?
