Bible Friday 12/23: At My Post

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 130:1-8. Verses 3 and 4, what is the greatest act of forgiveness I have ever received from God or from another person? How has it permanently changed me?

Isaiah 58:1-14. Verse 12, repairing and restoring the heritage we share. How can I and my family and my church live up to this with God’s help in the coming year?

I Thessalonians 5:1-28. Verse 17, in what way do I fall short of the command for a Christian to pray without ceasing?

Matthew 24:45-51. What’s my specific job description as a servant of the Lord Jesus, faithful and untiring to await his return? What goal shall I set for self-improvement in 2023?
