Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 119:49-88. Verses 55 and 62, why is it specially important for me to keep close to God at night? What’s my plan for doing so?
Jeremiah 3:1-25. When has my unfaithfulness made God sad? How did he show me mercy? Who was there for me as a pastor in my time of need (verse 15)?
Romans 7:13-25. When have I experienced this agony of a divided heart at war with itself? What did I learn? Is the struggle ongoing?
Matthew 13:10-17. Verse 11, why should the kingdom of heaven be mysterious and subtle, not simple and obvious? How can I get anywhere with evangelism if this is so?
