Bible Friday 3/4: Prioritize Jesus

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 7:1-17. God as our righteous commander, judge, defender, warrior, and avenger. How shall I pray today for justice in our world and peace among nations?

Jeremiah 17:1-27. Verses 19-27, what is God trying to teach us about himself and ourselves with this grave warning about the sabbath? How do I measure up?

Romans 14:1-13. Each Christian to mind his own business, not be arrogant and judgmental. How do I measure up?

Matthew 16:21-28. Verses 24-26, what do I need to let go of today, in order that I may follow Jesus more humbly and unselfishly?
