Bible Sunday 4/3: Light of the World

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 78:41-72. Verse 41, how have I recently placed limits on what God is willing or able to do in connection with some concern of mine?

Jeremiah 47:1-7. Jeremiah pronounces doom on the Philistines. Verse 6, what would l desire to see the sword of the Lord do among the nations of the world right now, taking a heavenly (not just earthly) perspective?

II Timothy 4:9-22. Verses 10, 14, 16, ill-served by some he had trusted, Paul trusts God and forgives. Present application for me?

John 8:1-12. Verse 12, in my own life right now (not in the news), where is there a struggle between darkness and light? How can I sense Jesus, the light of the world, irresistibly prevailing in that struggle?
