Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 92:1-15. Verse 6 KJV, what thoughts and actions characterize the brutish person? What characterizes the humane person, or best of all the godly person? Reviewing yesterday, where was I on that spectrum?
Haggai 1:1-15. Verse 4, how can I specifically start putting God’s priorities ahead of my own priorities, in allocating my time, talent, and treasure?
John 11::1-44. Verses 25-27, if I began to live every day more fully in the resurrection of Jesus, how would others notice?
John 11:45-12:11. Verse 51, Jesus must die. Verse 10, Lazarus must die. What are the dominant worldly powers that desperately seek to silence the Messiah and his witnesses? What can I do about it?
