Bible Friday 5/20: Voice of Triumph

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 47:1-9. Verse 1, what have I seen God do recently that makes me want to clap and shout to him? How can I express this throughout the day today?

Ezekiel 35:1-15. God’s anger at Israel’s enemies. How would I answer a friend who argues that, religiously, all roads lead to the top of the mountain—to the same spiritual destination by different routes?

I Corinthians 14:26-40. Verses 33, 37, 40, why does God, in Paul’s telling, attach so much importance to orderliness and good conduct in the church of Christ?

John 10:31-42. If Jesus calling God his Father was shocking enough to incite the Jews to kill him, shouldn’t it send shock waves through my own life too? What form might that take as I go about this day?
