Bible Sunday 6/12: His Face

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 105:1-45. Verse 4, when I seek God’s face today and find it, what will that experience be like—how will I know my seeking was successful?

I Samuel 6:1-21. God’s ark terrifies the Philistines and the Israelites alike. What would it look like in everyday life if I were less blasé and more awestruck about the things of God?

Matthew 3:13-17. Related question, how might I think and act differently if I took my baptism as seriously as Jesus took his?

John 28:16-20. Verse 19, how am I better off in knowing a trinitarian, not merely unitarian, God? How will the three-person God be present in everything I do today?
