Bible Sunday 7/24: Help My Unbelief

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 62:1-12. Verse 11, what other sources of power, claiming to rival God’s power, must I reject and resist today?

II Samuel 17:1-29. Verse 14, God uses David’s spy to impede Absalom’s rebellion. What situation in current affairs particularly calls for my prayers today?

Acts 15:13-22. The early church agrees to put Gentile and Jewish believers on the same footing. What negative consequences do divisions among Christ-followers have in my community? What’s to be done?

Mark 9:14-29. Verse 24, how is my walk with Jesus hindered by areas of unbelief mixing in me with areas of belief? What’s to be done?
