Bible Sunday 8/21: No One Too Small

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:129-176. Verse 141 KJV, what are some ways in which I am small in the world’s eyes, yet greatly valued in the heart of God?

I Kings 21:1-29. King Ahab commits murder and theft against a subject. Are private property, free exchange, and limited government given us by God or humanly invented? What says my church?

Acts 26:1-18. Verse 18, in what specific way is this day likely to be another step in my rescue from Satan and his darkness by God and his light?

Mark 14:66-72. Related question, isn’t it true that no day is without its opportunities for me to either frankly say, “Yes, I’m with Jesus”—or to cower as Peter did and say I’m not? What might that moment look like today?
