Bible Tuesday 9/13: See Here

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 36:1-12. Verse 9, if God’s light is required for true sight, what do I see—or think I see—without God’s light? How can I see everything and everyone with God’s light today?

II Kings 22:1-20. King Josiah’s men discover the lost book of God’s law. In what ways has the whole church—my local church included—strayed from the path Jesus wants us on? What’s to be done? My role?

Job 14:1-22. Job is weary of the world and skeptical of eternal life. With suicide becoming more common, how would I explain to a depressed friend my reason for living?

John 3:1-10. Without my telling them about it, how would someone who has known me all my life be able to recognize that I have been born again through Jesus Christ?
