Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 14:1-7. Verse 1, what are some of the forces influencing today’s children and young people with the assumption that there is no God? What is my church doing about it? My role?
Genesis 5:1-32. Verses 22 and 24, in twelve generations from Adam to Noah, only Enoch is said to have walked with God. By what actions and attitudes might he have earned that distinction? What lesson for me?
Hebrews 11:1-7. Verse 6 KJV, a glimpse of how Enoch lived his life, diligently seeking God. What would it look like if I became more faithful in such diligence this year than I was last year?
John 1:43-51. Nathanael startled at Jesus’ foreknowledge of him. Watching me closely of late, what has Jesus seen that pleased or displeased him? Action point for me today?
