Bible Saturday 4/6: Peter Welcomed Home

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 87:1-7. Verse 5, as the holder of a Zion birth certificate, a born-again follower of Jesus Christ, what is guaranteed to me today? What is required of me?

Song of Solomon 7:1-13. Mutual adoration in voluptuous detail. What are seven things about Jesus that I find lovely and lovable? What are seven things about me that Jesus finds lovely and lovable?

I Corinthians 15:35-49. What are some heavenly qualities I’m grateful to possess, by God’s grace, and some earthy qualities I want him to help me outgrow? Action point for today?

John 21:15-25. Related, in what way have I in the past—or am I even today—let(ting) Jesus down? How do I know that he loves me even so? To thank him, how shall I do my part in feeding his sheep?
