Bible Saturday 12/6: Teach Us

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 90:1-17. Verse 12, as this year ends, what has God taught me about numbering my days? What can I accomplish for God in the year to come, by applying my heart to wisdom?

Nahum 1:1-15. Verse 13, what yoke of sinful servitude is God ready to break off me today, if I repent and seek his mercy?

Revelation 17:7-18. Verse 14, by what methods and what weapons does Jesus, the Lamb of God, defeat the worldly powers making war on him? How can I participate with him in that struggle today?

Luke 10:1-16. Verse 2, what would the harvest of Jesus Christ specifically look like in my church, my community? What does he ask of me, and equip me for, as one of his harvest laborers today?
