Bible Monday 12/22: Plugging Away

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 126:1-6. When have I had the experience of reaping in joy after sowing in tears? Application to present need? What is precious about the seed I’m sowing now?

Micah 2:1-13. The times are evil: oppression, pollution, violence, lies, false prophecy. What is my church doing about social injustice? My role?

II Thessalonians 2:1-17. Verse 16, everlasting consolation and good hope through grace. Shall I take this as my keynote for today, with eyes open to Satan’s designs but confident in victory by Jesus Christ?

Luke 12:13-21. How do I tend to covet what others have? Am I tempted to define my life by material possessions? What can I do to become more rich toward God during the coming year of 2026?
