Bible Monday 4/28: There's a Better Way

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 139:1-24. Verses 13-16, what part of my physical body needs correcting right now? Shall I trust that situation to the God who made me in the first place?

Exodus 9:1-35. Was there ever a time in my own life when I was as stubborn, willful, and slow to learn as Pharaoh in this story? How did it turn out?

I Peter 1:1-12. Verse 7, is my faith being tried by fire at present? What reward awaits me, more precious than gold? How is Jesus Christ, crucified and risen, the key to my surviving this fiery trial?

John 21:1-14. Have I been struggling with a problem that won’t yield, and all along Jesus has been trying to tell meet fish on the other side of the boat?
