Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 1:1-6. Verse 3, how does this image of a flourishing tree, favored by God, play out in the specifics of a joyous life-situation I’m trusting Him to give me, starting today?
Numbers 8:1-26. Moses consecrates the Levites for ministry in the tabernacle. What particular—or even unique—call has God placed on my life in its present chapter? Am I all-in for that?
Acts 10:1-8. Related to the above, do I need to take my prayers and my alms up a notch, in order to be receptive for God’s next assignment?
Mark 2:18-22. What would it look like if I made a conscious effort this summer to be ready with new spiritual “clothes” and “wineskins” for the new opportunities and obligations Jesus is preparing for me?
