Bible Thursday 7/24: Midnight Deliverance

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 67:1-7. Verse 2, how does the saving health that God alone can give, differ from and go beyond the mere physical wellbeing of our bodies? How can I obtain this and help others do so?

Numbers 30:1-16. What is the most important vow I ever made? Am I keeping it in a way that pleases God? Action point?

Acts 16:25-40. Answered prayer: Paul and Silas are freed from prison, the jailer and his family accept Christ. What crisis in my life is about to be turned into opportunity if I’ll simply entrust it all to Jesus?

Mark 7:14-23. Doesn’t Jesus’ stern warning about cleaning up our wicked hearts apply mostly to other people? Nothing in his list of horrors fits me, right?
