Bible Friday 8/8: Servants Wanted

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 94:1-23. Verse 10-12, what experience have I been going through that seemed like injustice and hardship, but which was in fact God’s chastening and teaching? How shall I reset?

Amos 9:1-15. The severity of God’s purging and the graciousness of his restoration. Where on this moral “map” is the church right now? What is specifically required of me?

II Peter 2:12-22. The enemy offers bondage in the guise of liberty, ensnaring the people of Christ. What is my church doing about it? My role?

Mark 10:32-45. What would it look like today for me to practice servant leadership in proclaiming Jesus Christ crucified and resurrected?
