Bible Sunday 3/1: Fertile Soil

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 146:1-10. Verses 3-5, in this election year with turmoil at home and abroad, how shall I go about putting less trust in political leaders and more trust in the living God?

Jeremiah 16:1-21. God’s good purpose and plan to rescue the lost. What is required of me today, if I want to be among those rescued?

Romans 12:1-8. Verse 2, what will it look like today if I refuse to be conformed with the world and strive instead to transformed by the renewing of my mind in accord with God’s will?

Matthew 13:1-9. How shall I specifically prepare the soil of my heart for the seed Jesus wants to sow there today? What would a hundred-fold harvest look like?
