Bible Saturday 3/14: Be Encouraged

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 34:1-22. Verse 4, when the psalmist says he sought the Lord, what was he actually doing? What was going on in his mind and heart, his senses, his manner of living? What’s the lesson here for me?

Jeremiah 29:1-32. Verses 11-14, God’s good purpose and plan for me, assured and guaranteed. How shall I go about trusting and cooperating with him today?

I Timothy 1:12-20. Verse 15, Paul calls himself the chief of sinners, who had obtained grace and mercy through Jesus Christ. Who needs to hear the gospel from me today? What am I waiting for?

Matthew 15:29-31. Large crowds in dire need of healing flock to Jesus and are healed. For whom shall I pray this healing right now?
